I spent a long time looking round many different websites looking for a suitable anchor to use and eventually chose the Y-anchor as i thought it was one of the best around and good value. The bike cost £13 500 and I got a discount on my insurance through having it anchored to the ground. I looked at all the ground anchors available and the Y-MAX is simply the best. It was very simple to install and only took a couple of hours. I teamed it up with  a 16mm 1.5metre Almax Immobiliser III chain and a Cisa padlock. I can sleep easily with "Full Metal Jacket" security like this. Looking round there are two options either ones like the Y anchor or those you bolt to the ground or wall. Reading about all different types, the ones buried in the ground looked best. After having a moped stolen from the very same spot before the Y anchor was fitted i can now sleep easy knowing this new moped is going nowhere. Had a look at the anchor and soon realised that when compared with other anchors nothing else came close - even other flush-fitting anchors. Thinking about it logically, I really can't see how someone could get round the yanchor without a JCB!!! It's very likely it was a sponsored google link - I always use google & your's was either the top of the search or the sponsored link above the search results.   It's going to be used to secure a couple of motorcycles - 1100 Katana and 350 LC just in case you're keeping track of make and model trends.   I chose your ground anchor on the grounds that it looked impossible to get to to try and crop, freeze or cut without loads of hassle - just used common sense really.     Richard       ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------           Came across your product whilst on ebay around a year ago. On Sunday the 1st of October 2005 I am due to have a display stand at the Copdock Motorcycle Show (2nd only to the BMF in attendance in East Anglia) focusing on Motorcycle and Moped Security. I do not sell items at the show but promote good security and practices, and would like to have a display of good quality motorcycle security products. I use a Honda Blackbird and a moped to show these products in use (including the promotion of bike covers that are a good preventing theft - if they cant see it they often dont steal it!) I had seen some in a large motorcycle showroom in Bristol but was unimpressed because they were much too expensive and because they were designed to be bolted down, not concreted in. The bolted-down ones look like they would be quite easy to prise from the floor. I plan to install it in the middle of my single garage so that I can use it for 2 or 3 motorcycles at the same time.
